Going to the Dogs! (Owlerton Stadium)

Crafting for the Christmas Tree Festival

Can't believe it's that time of year again!!
Oh yes it is!!

Alison and Mary ....... busy as bees!

A lovely warm trinity Centre, along with Sheila's tea and scones (what else) saw Mary marshall her troops once again for Holy Trinitys' Annual Christmas Tree Festival Craft workshop.
The theme this year is 'to represent your own organisation' so of course we had plenty to work on including 'Jam and Jerusalem', 'Sunflowers and bees', 'tea and cakes'   ...... and so much more!
A great time was had by all and the tree is going to look fantastic!!

Sheila, Jill, Pat, Pauline and Elsie busy making cakes

Pat and Ann making WI Tinsel

Don't they look good!

November Meeting - Making something for Christmas with Sue Dixon

The meeting started with a 'thank you' to Dorothy and Alison for all their hard work co-ordinating the making of our new banner.  All agreed they'd done a fantastic job.

Jean Philip and Pat Shaw (deputising for Jean Newbold) then went through all the exciting things on offer in the run-up to Christmas whilst we all busily signed up and filled in our diaries.

Sue Dixon then introduced us to all the wonderful Christmas Craft activities she'd planned for us and we all really enjoyed ourselves and were quite proud of what we had to take home!!

First came the cards ......

....... then the gift tags .......

Aren't we clever!! (Well Sue had done so much preparation even the most ham-fisted amongst us couldn't go wrong!)

It was quite therapeutic 'gluing' and 'sticking' and of course chatting and after we'd finished we enjoyed wonderful refreshments served by Linda and Joan.

Everyone was reminded that we're 'off to the dogs' on Tuesday 15th November at Owlerton Stadium and that our December meeting (party) is a week later than usual.
