A really enjoyable and informative visit along with fellow members of Rockley WI groups.

Walking Netball Tournament

To mark the end of the year in which England Netball teamed up with the WI to run 'free' netball sessions to all members interested,  the Rockley Team entered their first tournament ……… we didn't win any games but we won the cake competition and had loads of fun!!

Can't wait for September and the new season!!

Rockley Rally

A superb afternoon at Grenoside Community Centre …… all the committee's hard work in planning beforehand paid off and all WI's had a great time.

A good time was had by all the members who attended a fashion show at the Trinity Centre organised by Holy Trinity.

Walking Netball

Pat and Jayne join members from High Green and Chapeltown WI's every Thursday afternoon for a fun session of Walking Netball … come and join us.

The cake is pretty good too!!

Weston Park Coffee Morning

A fantastic morning raising £550 or nearly £600 with Gift Aid - well done to all members who supported in any way either by baking, serving on the day or simply sampling the wonderful cakes!!

Weston Park were absolutely delighted with our efforts and hope to visit us one meeting to say thank you in person.

March Meeting - SYEDA with Jenny Allen

 This years charity is the South Yorkshire Eating Disorder Association.  Trustee Jenny Allen gave us a very informative presentation about their work with people of all ages and both sexes and how they support the whole family of sufferers of a variety of eating disorders.  As well as our speaker fee, an addittional £60 was collected in donations for this very worthwhile charity.

Village Noticeboard

The village noticeboard erected two years ago thanks to the hard work of many WI members is looked after by committee member Pat Shaw - posters for display can be handed in directly to her or left in the Trinity Centre and she will collect them.  The bulbs we planted last year look fantastic in the spring sunshine.

February Meeting - Quilting with Janet Bothamley

A really interesting presentation by Janet with lots of Quilts for us to examine and admire.

We also said 'Goodbye' to long time members Susan Delaney, Margaret Howard and Pam Holmes who unfortunately are no longer able to come to meetings - hopefully we'll see them at Village activities - we wish them well.
