The first ever Thorpe Hesley Village Fair was a huge success. The sun shone and the crowds turned out. They flocked to the W.I. "Vintage" stall where we had taken the executive decision to charge 50p for everything - due to the sheer volume of items that we had gathered.

Bargains were snapped up and customers went away very happy indeed.

Above £96 was made for the W.I. (from a load of old rubbish according to Carolyn!! - how very dare she! These were quality goods!)

Myself and Sheila did a very good impersonation of Arthur Daley and managed to "shift" almost all of the goods.
